I am an interactive multimedia major that is interested in game development and digital storytelling. I enjoy writing stories and making those stories come to life. One of my favorite mediums is a form of digital media known as a visual novel. I enjoy visual novels because they integrate semantic and creative writing, colorful art, and evocative music. I also enjoy a wide variety of games though my favorite types of games are those that incorporate story as a primary element. One of my favorite games is “To the Moon,” an indie game with minimalistic gameplay but excellent story and music.

Writing stories is perhaps my greatest enjoyment. In 2013 and 2014 I participated in National Novel Writing Month in which writers were challenged to write a 50,000 word novel in a single month. After a difficult month of juggling college work and writing about 3-5 pages of fiction a day I succeeded in completing the challenge both times. My ultimate goal is to produce creative content that fully fleshes out the universe that I have conceived. My favorite genre is dark fantasy. Themes of despair and pathos resonate with me very deeply and I enjoy stories that depict characters struggling their hardest against a harsh world.
One of my novels is currently published, but I hope to make much more of it than just a book. I’m currently in the process of integrating it into a visual novel.
